We’ve made it a lot easier and way cooler to fly POWERUP 4.0 at night. Optional LED lights will enable you to light up the night - making for awesome visuals and round-the-clock fun.

2 rear wheels and 1 front wheel give your paper plane more style and make for easier takeoff and landing. They also make it possible to launch off of a surface rather than hand-launching.

We partnered with the best RC hobby vloggers on the planet - FliteTest! They have put together their incredibly creative minds to develop a foam jet inspired by the F22 for the 4.0. It is made from a special laser cut foam board they created and make in the USA.

Intuitive control makes it easy to fly. Simply tilt your phone in the direction you want your plane to fly. It’s really that easy.

POWERUP is an incredibly helpful tool when it comes to teaching and learning aeronautics. Students can test multiple designs, analyze their work and improve their planes. Through trial and error, they can understand what makes their plane fly smoother, longer and farther- key lessons in airplane design.

When editing a plane, turn on 'Visible to the community' option. The plane will then show up in the plane library for everyone. Others can see your plane's name, photo, statistics like number of flights, instructions etc. You can continue updating your plane as often as you want.

However, just as before, your shared planes cannot be used by others unless you publish them.

Now you can see (and sort planes by) a popularity score, as well as see how many pilots are flying your favourite planes and how many flights each plane has.

Older planes will drop off in popularity if they don't have as much reach or as many flights, making way for your new creations! Better planes with longer average flight time also rank higher. So get publishing! 2.12.0 08/21/2025 • Added new sorting options in the plane library.

Hello, creators! This one's for you: now you can publish your plane designs for the community. Others will be able to find it in the plane library, add it to their hangar and perform flights with it! Your tuning parameters will also be automatically applied, though others can fine-tune it too.

Note: only publish your final creations! Once published, you won't be able to modify your plane anymore. 2.11.0 07/21/2025 NEW: Your own hangar and a plane library!
Now you can add or remove planes from your hangar. A new plane library has been added where you can always find all available planes, whether your own or those from PowerUp.

NEW: Flight/pilot details in the leaderboard.
